Discussion

This was a trowelled spit to further define the sequence of enclosure ditches 011BA07130. The material removed was a sandy loam (Munsell colour 10YR 3/3) Further definition of these ditches was required (spits 011BA00082, 011BA00103 and 011BA00128). Much of the area had been disturbed by Medieval ridge and furrow ploughing.
