Discussion

This spit was excavated in order to define a number of features located between enclosure ditches 011BA07130 and 011BA07129. The material removed was a silty clay loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/3). Although post holes were defined in the north of the excavated area (011BA00653 and 011BA07133), further definition was required in the south (spits 011BA00566, 011BA00618 and 011BA00620).
